Established in 1956, Kilkenny Mart is a farmer owned co operative with over 2,000 shareholders.
It has been serving the farming community for 70 years, & continues to be one of the leading livestock marts in the country. It’s cattle & sheep sales take place three times a week, drawing buyers & sellers from a wide catchment area. It has always been known as a place to purchase quality stock, helped by the fact that is located in an area with good land, & a large farming base.
In 2007, it moved to its new location in Cillin Hill, just outside Kilkenny city. The new facility provides for a state-of-the-art livestock auction centre combined with retail units, containing businesses that provide a wide range of services to the agricultural & rural community.
Our focus has always been on providing our shareholders & customers with quality livestock & excellent service.
